Brain Injury NS is partnering with Independent Living Nova Scotia (ILNS) to offer two new workshops on March 10th for survivors and families about how to open a Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP).
A Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP) is a federal savings plan to help parents and others save for the long-term financial security of a person with a disability like a brain injury.
This workshop is a good opportunity for you and your family if:
You qualify for the Disability Tax Credit (DTC);
You are a Canadian resident with a Social Insurance Number (SIN);
You are 59 years old* or younger.
*If you are 49 years old or younger, you may also qualify for the Canada Disability Savings Grant. This will be covered in the workshop as well.
